		<description>I'd say that Google never said that it will be Python only, just for the time being. 

And another thing is that they actually could make it Python-only if they wanted, after all it is their product.

Heroku is Rails only and I see no one complaining.

And I am a Rails guy. The internet is about choice, so I choose not to give a damn about App Engine, and we're all good.</description>

I see this as a great competitive offering to counter Amazon's Elastic Service.  I am anxious for the day we can deploy Ruby [on Rails] apps in Google Apps.</description>
